We’re working with a well-established organisation in the education sector to recruit a HR MI Analyst to support critical reporting activity during a major HR system stabilisation phase.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, ensuring accuracy, and building confidence in reporting outputs within a complex environment.
The Role:
You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality, business-as-usual HR reporting, ensuring data accuracy and continuity while systems are being stabilised.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and triaging MI/reporting requests
- Running and reviewing standard workforce reports
- Validating pre-built reports to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Investigating discrepancies and data quality issues
- Checking data integrity and reconciling outputs
- Supporting data submissions for external reporting (e.g. regulatory/benchmarking returns)
- Maintaining delivery of existing reports (no report development required)
- Using Excel extensively for validation, reconciliation, and analysis
- Liaising with stakeholders to clarify reporting requirements
- Ensuring consistency in definitions and reporting standards
- Documenting reporting processes and outputs
- Contributing to improvements in data quality and reporting accuracy
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g. XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation, large datasets)
- Experience working with reporting/data outputs in a structured environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to validate/report-check accurately
- Ability to identify anomalies and investigate data issues
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data integrity and continuous improvement
Desirable:
- Experience with HR systems (e.g. Oracle Fusion HCM or similar)
- Experience working with HR/workforce data and organisational structures
- Experience validating and maintaining existing reports (vs building new ones)
- Familiarity with tools like Power Query for data transformation/validation
- Understanding of data governance and reporting consistency principles
- Experience supporting statutory or external reporting (e.g. regulatory returns, benchmarking exercises)
- Background in higher education, public sector, or regulated environments
