Burman Recruitment are working in exclusive partnership with Kingston University for a new Head of Business Analysis.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, strategic-minded Head of Business Analysis to join our Strategic Portfolio Office (SPO) at Kingston University. This key leadership role will drive process improvements and business analysis across the University to support the successful delivery of our Town House Strategy and its strategic and operational goals.

As Head of Business Analysis, you will lead the development of a University-wide business analysis framework, enabling efficient, effective, and sustainable change across the institution. Your expertise in process improvement and business analysis will help identify and implement innovative ways to enhance performance, promote best practices, and achieve lasting impact.

In this highly collaborative role, you will work closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders, fostering a culture of inclusivity, transparency, and mutual respect. You will also manage a small team of Business Analysts, providing direction and support to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the University.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and implement a University-wide methodology for business analysis and process improvement, aligned with strategic and financial objectives.
• Analyse current business processes and workflows, identifying improvement opportunities across University activities.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that change initiatives are effective and well-supported.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs and workflow diagrams, to standardize operational improvements.
• Identify and address risks associated with change projects, ensuring that they are effectively managed.
• Produce clear benefits metrics and reports to communicate the impact of change initiatives to senior stakeholders.
• Provide training, guidance, and line management to Business Analysts within the SPO.
• Support the Director of the SPO and act as a deputy when required, contributing to broader change management initiatives across the University.

About You
To succeed in this role, you should have:
• A degree or equivalent relevant experience in a related field.
• A qualification in Process Improvement, Lean, or Business Analysis (e.g., Six Sigma, BCS Business Analysis).
• Proven expertise in project or change management (e.g., PRINCE2).
• Extensive experience leading process improvement strategies in large organizations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex change projects that require cross-departmental collaboration.
• Strong skills in tracking benefits realization, monitoring KPIs, and facilitating business process architecture.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and build trust at all levels.
