We are seeking an experienced Applications Development Manager to lead a talented team of Developers within a forward-thinking ICT function. This role offers the chance to play a key part in delivering enterprise applications and integration projects that support an organisation’s ongoing digital transformation.

You will oversee the successful delivery of scalable, robust solutions, working closely with Solution Architects and stakeholders in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Developers.
• Oversee application enhancements and integrations, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
• Work closely with Solution Architects to design scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and input into solution designs, ensuring adherence to architectural standards.
• Plan and deliver major system upgrades (e.g., SITS, Unit4), including risk management and stakeholder communication.
• Manage team workload, budgets, and resources across projects.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, practices, and technical approaches.

Essential Skills & Experience
• Proven experience leading and managing development teams in an Agile environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of .NET development (C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET Framework).
• Expertise in cloud technologies, particularly Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Functions, Power Automate).
• Solid understanding of SaaS application development, enterprise integration, APIs, and web services.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of successful delivery.
• Experience in managing budgets, resources, and third-party suppliers.
• Ability to provide technical leadership for complex enterprise system implementations.

Desirable Skills
• ITIL foundation certification.
• Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of integration platforms such as Boomi or MuleSoft.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA).
• Experience working in public sector or higher education environments.
• Involvement in large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
