Luke Dooley

Following a contact from Luke on LinkedIn he arranged a call and we had an initial conversation. He told me about an opportunity and we discussed the details. From that very first conversation Luke was friendly and professional. 
Subsequent interactions were also great. He kept me informed regarding what was happening throughout the process. Even when there was little to report as someone was one leave, he kept me informed. Communication was fantastic throughout the process.
Once we got to the stage of a job offer coming, Luke ensured we were on the same wavelength regarding salary expectations and when the offer came though it was completely in line with expectations.

Luke was great at communicating with me about the numerous opportunities he was recruiting for, taking the time to understand my requirements and professional career aspirations, helping to facilitate the recruitment process from start to finish. Following discussions with potential employers, Luke was proactive in gathering feedback and thoughts on whether I wanted to pursue the opportunity with that employer further in a timely manner, as well as helping me prepare for my interview, and support the eventual on boarding process with my new employer.

I have recently worked with Luke to secure a position with Akari Software, for curriculum management solutions within higher education. I had moved from a position, where I had been with the institution in excess of twelve years. Having been recommended to Luke by a colleague, I was not entirely confident in the external recruitment process, but Luke thoroughly explained the process to me and helped me to work through my skills and job history, recommending roles based on my skillset and comfort level.

Throughout the application process Luke has communicated with me frequently, through a variety of means including telephone and written communication. Luke’s communications have been regular enough to provide me with updates and actions when needed, but without overwhelming me. Luke’s communications have also been well articulated and timely, which have left me with an understanding of what is to come and with enough preparation time.

Throughout the interview process Luke has made time to run through interview preparations, as well as the opportunity for decompression sessions and review after the interviews had completed. I was fortunate enough to be successful at interview, but Luke had still relayed all feedback so that I could hear my strengths and areas of development for future improvements.

Finally, throughout the negotiation process, Luke has worked with me to negotiate salary and conditions of employment matching, and in some cases exceeding, the expectations I had set out to him at the beginning of the process.
