Delighted to be working exclusively with the University of Bedfordshire on an EDI Manager opportunity. The postholder will support the development and implementation of EDI strategies, initiatives and charter marks that will affect positive cultural and systemic change promoting best practice in EDI at the University of Bedfordshire. To assist the University in the advancement of equality, diversity and inclusion; developing and implementing initiatives and objectives in support of the EDI Strategy, Athena Swan and other charter mark requirements.

Lead the application and review process for other EDI charter mark accreditation awards such as Race Equality Charter, Stonewall, Disability Confident
Review EDI related legislation and ensure the University is aware of its requirements as an employer and identify how these requirements will be met through the development of equality policy and objectives.
Co-ordinate, develop and support the introduction and development of EDI activities across the University including Aurora, Springboard and women’s mentoring scheme and the BAME/ Disability/ LGBTQ Networks
Develop and facilitate training and briefing sessions for staff and line managers in relation to EDI legislation and good practice. Continually review the delivery and content of EDI related training, frameworks, guidance.
Essential Criteria

Excellent specialist knowledge and understanding of best practice across the EDI spectrum
Experience in a similar EDI or professional role within a complex and regulated environment such as Higher Education
Strong verbal communication, interpersonal and influencing skills that demonstrate credibility and confidence at all levels across the University
